An industry veteran with over 29 years of experience, Ashwini K Aggarwal is Director, Government Affairs of Applied Materials India Pvt. Limited.

At Applied Materials, Mr. Aggarwal handles the government affairs function, covering public policy, programs and market development initiatives relating to high-tech electronics including semiconductor electronics and solar in India. He is the co-chair/Executive Committee member for key committees in USIBC, CII, FICCI, ELCINA, IEEMA and ESSC.

Mr. Aggarwal has authored a book on Novell Netware and has a number of industry white papers to his credit. His thought papers "Financial Enablers for the Solar Sector" and “Making the Indian Solar industry shine” were placed by the MNRE on the industry comments section for the 12th Plan inputs. His work on “smart manufacturing program for India” is a recipe framework for building a globally competitive, profitable Indian industry.

His previous stints before Applied Materials include role as Executive Director, Manufacturers’ Association of IT in India, handling a range of advocacy and industry development initiatives, and 18 years in Hewlett-Packard in several important and developmental roles. He has also worked with Omnicom Media Group, in their group company, CPM India as Vice-President, Strategic initiatives. Mr. Aggarwal is well known in the industry for his creative and breakthrough market development initiatives at HP & at MAIT is a well-known industry speaker, and was the IT Channels "Most Favorite Marketing Manager" for the year 2006.

Mr Aggarwal has an M.Sc. in Physics and Electronics from St. Stephens College and an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy from the Centre of Management Excellence, All India Management Association.

Anil is one of the founding directors and the driving force behind SLN Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Bangalore based embedded systems company for Aerospace and Defense Industry. He started SLN technologies, along with his engineering classmate D.R Subramanyam in the year 1995, with a vision of building a world class embedded technology company in India. With the help of a good partner and team of highly dedicated engineers, he is leading his company towards translating his vision into reality. SLN Technologies today is one of the leading companies in Aerospace & Defense and it supplies mission critical electronics subsystems to Fighter Aircrafts, Radars and Antenna control systems for Earth stations.

An Engineering graduate, majoring in Electronics and communication, Mr. Anil Kumar Muniswamy also has an International Masters in practicing Management from IIM, Bangalore and a diploma from INSEAD France along with an MBA from McGill University, Canada. Anil Kumar Muniswamy, who is being called as Anil by his friends from the industry, has travelled to more than 35 countries from 1989 to 2016 on business, which includes visiting, industry trade fairs and industry delegations, manufacturing facilities, world class universities, R&D labs, innovation centers,etc. This experience has given him the ability to network, negotiate and collaborate with foreign companies and foreign nationals of different regions across the globe.

Anil was the president of Indian Printed Circuits Association (IPCA) from 2006-2010 before serving as the Vice President of IPCA from 2000 to 2006. He was the founding president of IATC, a division of IPC, USA and IPCA India for training activating in India from 2007 to 2011. Anil has represented India at World Electronics Circuit Council convention in Tokyo, Japan in 1999 and gave a keynote on Indian Electronics Industry at JPCA show. He also gave a keynote presentation on "State of Indian PCB Industry" at CPCA show in Shanghai, China in 2007.

Anil is the Treasurer & Executive Council member at IESA for 2016-17. He is also on the panel for IESA Aerospace and Defence committee.

 

Rajesh Krishnan

Rajesh Krishnan is currently Vice President and Head of the Memory Solutions R&D at Samsung Semiconductor Research India, Bangalore. He setup the Memory R&D in India in 2007, which has now grown to 400 employees and is also the largest overseas R&D center for Samsung memory globally.

Prior to Samsung, he was employed at Hughes Network Systems; Maryland, and was engaged in their satellite communication projects in design and development. Prior to that he was with Motorola India Electronics Ltd at Bangalore and was part of their Semiconductor product sector group.

Rajesh Krishnan holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and a MBA (Finance/Strategy) from the R.H Smith school of business; University of Maryland, College park.

Ram Reddy

Mr. Ram Reddy is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Madras and holds an M.S.E.E. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. He has over 40 years of experience in Silicon Valley in the areas of design, manufacturing, and marketing of various integrated circuits (ICs). He has successfully started several semiconductor design companies and sold them to larger companies in the last 18 years.

His ventures included Lotus Designs Corp., Silicon Logic, and Startech Semiconductor, all of which were based in Silicon Valley. Prior to starting his first company in 1982, he worked as a Section Manager at American Microsystems in Santa Clara, California. He was responsible for designing the world’s first DSP chip. Ram started MosChip in Hyderabad in 1999 which is the first public listed semiconductor company in India. MosChip was started as a product company and as of today has shipped about 10 million chips around the world to customers such as Sony, Toshiba, Rockwell Collins ( Airbus ), IBM etc. Over the years, MosChip has grown into different Business Units concentrating on IOT, Defence Systems ( FPGA designs ), Custom Design of Semiconductors/ Staff Augmentation and has about 350 employees worldwide. MosChip has made quite a bit inroads into Indian DRDO Labs partnering in Systems and Semiconductor SoC designs, truly being " Made In India and Made for India".

Ram has extensive experience in sub-contracting manufacturing needs of semiconductors and marketing these products worldwide. His customer list included major PC manufacturers such as Compaq Computers and communication technology companies such as Nokia Systems out of Finland.

Vivek is the founder and architect of Sankalp. He founded Sankalp in 2005 and has led the company as CEO through its start-up phase and transitioned the leadership at the scale-up mode. He enjoys industry thought leadership for his visionary approach, leadership skills and for his Analog-Mixed Signal technology leadership. Vivek's current responsibility at Sankalp is to focus on leadership development programs and growth of technical talent and to fuel new avenues of growth through new business initiatives organic/ inorganic forms. His career achievements does also include creating High Tech jobs in Indian Tier-II cities and for structuring one of its kind Merger & Acquisition deal with KPIT Technologies Limited.

Prior to Sankalp Semiconductor, Vivek has held several executive positions at
Texas Instruments India and US. He was the General Manager of Broadband Silicon Technology Centre in TI India. Several products developed under his leadership have claimed industry accolades. World's first integrated DSL that won the EDN Asia award in 1999 and World's first single chip DSL that won EDN WW Award in 2003 are  few examples.

Vivek also holds other offices such as : President of North Karnataka IT Association : Vice President of TIE Hubli chapter : Trustee on Deshpande Foundation Hubli, working in social/NGO sector : Talent Development Core Interest Group (CiG) of Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association.

Niranjan Anant Pol

Niranjan Anant Pol is a core member of India Management Team for Seagate. Niranjan is responsible for engineering development of controllers in Seagate's Solid State Drives and also for the business development for these Seagate product lines in India. Niranjan steers many key initiatives such as university relations, talent development, fostering relationships with key customers while working with local sales. Niranjan represents Seagate at industry bodies, ecosystem partners and the government institutions through his active engagement with IESA (India Electronics and Semiconductor Association), VSI (VLSI Society of India), NASSCOM and IACC (Indo-American chamber of commerce).

Niranjan Pol joined Seagate as part of acquisition of Flash Business by Seagate from LSI Corporation/Avago in 2014. Niranjan has 19+ years of rich professional experience ranging from research and development in solid state drive controllers to development and application of complex engineering software at LSI India, Cadence(US and India), Sun Microsystems(US) and Intel(US). Niranjan was the organizing chair for the 26th International IEEE VLSI Design Conference at Pune held in January 2013.

Niranjan holds MBA from Santa Clara University (Finance and International Business, 2005) and M. Tech from IIT Bombay (Reliability Engineering, 1997).

Vivek Sharma

Vivek Sharma is Regional Vice President, Greater China and South Asia Region - India Operations and Director of the STMicroelectronics India Design Centers with additional responsibility as a Sales Unit Director for India. In his long career of around 23 years with ST, he has managed the design center's operations in India along with general and administrative functions.

Sharma holds three international patents in integrated circuit design. He is a board member of the Executive Council of IESA for the past three years and has been an elected member of the Executive Council till March 2011. He also serves as the Executive Council of European Business Group, India. Vivek received a Master of Technology in communication engineering from the IIT, Delhi and a degree in electronics and communication engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Rajeev Khushu

With a total experience of over 20 years, Rajeev has a very good understanding of the semiconductor and electronics market in India and how the customers, industry and ecosystem has evolved in the last 2 decades.

Rajeev is with TI for the last 10+ years and as Director - Corporate Affairs, covers public policy and programs, technology, standards and works with various stake holders in the Government of India and various state governments, key customers, industry and trade associations like USIBC, NASSCOM, IESA, ISGF, CII, TEC, BEE, EESL, BIS etc. and universities. During his stint at TI, Rajeev has worked as GM, Sales - Global Accounts, GM, Sales – West India and Area Director, Sales and Marketing for North and East India. In his various sales role at TI he started coverage of MNC accounts and spearheaded TI's strategy to become supplier of choice, started TI West India sales activities by opening offices in Pune, Mumbai, Nasik and Gujarat, achieved the goal of making TI number 1 semiconductor supplier in North and East India, established leadership position of TI in Smart Metering and Smart Grid with a share of more than 60%in North and East India and gained share in home UPS, solar grid connect applications, Set Top Box applications and LED lighting.

Prior to joining TI in 2006, Rajeev has worked with Atmel, Infineon Technologies, Siemens Ltd, and Indian Telephone Industries, handling a wide range of roles and responsibilities.

Rajeev worked with TEC for specs formation of Telecom Equipment for Customer Premise Equipment between 1999 and 2000. He was an active member of SCAFI (Smart Card Association for India) and was responsible for finalization of the Smart card operating system for India Govt. applications called SCOSTA. At Atmel he was responsible for getting Atmel secure Controllers in e-passport and DL projects.

Rajeev has a BE (Honors) in Electronics and Communications from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad. He loves long distance running and has participated in more than 10 marathons across India.

Somshubhro (Som) Pal Choudhury is responsible for managing Analog Devices' presence in India, including defining and executing strategies to expand business in the domestic market, growing the ADI's Engineering Design Center capabilities, strengthening relationships with strategic and key customers, ecosystem partners, government, industry bodies, startups and investor ecosystem and universities. Som serves as the Senior Executive of the company in India, with operational, statutory, and compliance accountabilities. He is also the principal spokesperson for Analog Devices in India. M.N.Vidyashankar most recently served as the Principal Secretary to the Government of Karnataka and brings over 30 years of rich experience in management and administration of various government offices, autonomous bodies, boards and corporations.

Vidyashankar joined the IAS in 1982 and served various government departments at the state and central level before moving on to hold the position of the Principal Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Department of e-Governance, Government of Karnataka. He was also the CEO of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board and has served as the Chief Electoral Officer at Bangalore.

Vidyashankar holds an M.A in Economics and an M.Phil. from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He is also a post graduate in business administration from Harvard University, USA. Jaswinder S. Ahuja is Corporate Vice President and Managing Director of Cadence Design Systems in India. Jaswinder leads Cadence’s India operating region and the Global Customer Support and Educational Services businesses.

Jaswinder started his career with Cadence in 1988 and has led the India operations since 1996. Over the last 25 years at Cadence Jaswinder has held leadership roles in R&D, operations, L&D and sales, and has been responsible for driving several key initiatives including globalization of R&D, strategic R&D partnerships, and central engineering.

Kumud Srinivasan is Vice President, Technology and Manufacturing Group and President, Intel India. In this capacity, she is responsible for general management of Intel's operations in India, which includes location’s overall strategy, business-enabling operations, organizational development, engineering and innovation for market development, as well as managing relationships with government, industry and academia.

Previously, Kumud was vice president and general manager of IT for Silicon, Software and Services where she led the delivery of IT solutions and services for Intel's hardware and software engineers. Have over 3 decades of experience in the electronics Industry, covering a wide spectrum of functions from Silicon design, System design, System engineering, and high performance IP design in deep sub micro processes.

Krishna, as he known in the industry circles, works with premier engineering schools in India to foster Industry/Academia relationship and was instrumental in setting up the Advanced VLSI lab in IIT Kharagpur, along with the Corporate University relationship team in 2005. He is actively involved with the industry bodies like IESA, VLSI society of India and a member of IEEE.

Dr. Satya Gupta is the Co-founder and CEO of Concept2Silicon Systems, working on enabling semiconductor products and systems for wireless, telecom, medical, and energy applications.

Dr. Gupta has more than 22 years of experience in semiconductors, covering design, CAD, systems and embedded software. Prior to Concept2Silicon Systems, Dr. Gupta was Co-founder and Vice-President, Engineering & Technology at Open-Silicon, responsible for worldwide engineering and technology development. Before that Dr. Gupta co-founded Intel Microelectronics services, an ASIC organization within Intel, and built engineering teams both in USA and India. He worked at Intel for 13 years in various engineering and executive management positions.

Dr. Gupta has received the prestigious IEEE Gordon Bell Award for high performance computing for his work on breaking Tera Flop barrier first-time. He has authored more than 40 technical papers and has six patents. He is a founding member of IESA and has served on its Executive Council for three years.

Dr. Gupta received his Ph.D from Old Dominion University, Virginia; M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; and BE from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Sanjeev Keskar

Sanjeev Keskar has served as Managing Director, Sales, PMC-Sierra for India and south-east Asia since January 2010.

Prior to this appointment, Keskar was Country Manager, Sales, at Freescale Semiconductor from 2005 to 2009, where he led design win and revenue growth for the India sales operations. Prior to that, he was the Country Manager for AMD Far East Ltd. in India from 2001 to 2005. There he started the company’s India operations as the first Country Manager with a three-person team and established AMD India in four years with all major OEM and channel wins. Keskar has also held senior management positions at National Semiconductor, Max India Ltd. (Avnet India), and Continental Device India Ltd. Overall, he has more than 25 years of experience and has spent 20 years in semiconductor sales.

Keskar received a master’s degree in management science and a bachelor’s of engineering and technology from Pune University.

PVG Menon
President - IESA

Mr. PVG Menon has over 23 years of experience in the Indian IT industry. He has rich experience in development, marketing and management of technology, and has worked with leading companies like Philips (later NXP) Semiconductors and Analog Devices - where he has built multi-million dollar global businesses. He has also worked with companies like Siemens Information Systems Ltd. and CMC Ltd. in development and project management roles. He has also been part of two start-ups.

Mr. Menon established VANN Consulting, a strategic management consulting company, in early 2007. He has carried out several strategy consulting and marketing assignments for various companies in the software, embedded systems and semiconductor space.

Mr. Menon has experience in semiconductors, embedded systems and computer graphics. He is active in industry forums, and has participated in several path-breaking industry research activities and initiatives. He has also published several articles on IT related topics in both Indian and foreign publications.

Vivek Tyagi has over two decades of experience in distribution, sales and customer relations functions. Prior to Freescale, he worked with Philips Semiconductors.

Vivek holds a Bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from Mysore University and a PGCSM from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Vivek led the market research team that developed the F & S report last year.

Guru Ganesan took over as the Managing Director of ARM India in June 2009. Prior to that, he was Vice-President, Engineering at ARM, San Jose, California. In 2002, Ganesan relocated to India to set up the India operations of Artisan Components Inc. As Managing Director, Artisan-India, he was responsible for the company’s overall operations in India. In December 2004, Artisan was acquired by ARM, the world leader in semiconductor IP, and Ganesan continued as the Managing Director of ARM India.

Prior to ARM and Artisan, Ganesan was Director of Engineering at Synopsys, Mountain View and his business unit was acquired by Artisan Components in January 2001. His earlier assignments were with Texas Instruments, Dallas; Cadence Design Systems, San Jose; and Hewlett-Packard, Cupertino. Dr. Pradip K. Dr. Dutta has been heading the India operations of Synopsys since his repatriation from the US in 2000. He has overseen the growth of the company from a little over 50 employees to more than 700 highly skilled employees across Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Noida. His key focus areas include R&D activity in various aspects of EDA tool development, strengthening industry-academia-government interaction, and building strong customer relationships.

Dr. Dutta started his career with General Motors in the field of automotive electronics, where he held various engineering and management positions, both in the US and the Asia-Pacific region. Some of his most enjoyable projects were working on the first GM electric vehicle, IMPACT, and IC fabrication process transfer program between Hitachi Ltd., Japan and Delco Electronics, Kokomo, Indiana.

Dr. Dutta serves on the Executive Council of several industry bodies, including IESA and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka. He also sits on the advisory boards of the Government of West Bengal (Ministry of IT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur (Advanced VLSI Consortium), and the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (Academic Program). Dr. Dutta is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs.

Dr. Dutta has earned his B.Tech in electronics engineering from IIT Kharagpur, followed by MS and Ph.D in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park under a US government fellowship from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Dr.Praveen Vishakantaiah

Praveen Vishakantaiah is currently the President of Intel India and responsible for all Intel activities in India.

Vishakantaiah joined Intel, USA in 1993 and held various leadership positions in microprocessor design technology development and in the Pentium® II, Pentium® III, and Pentium® 4 microprocessor development teams. He relocated to Intel India in 2003 to start microprocessor post-silicon validation for Xeon® server platforms. He later became the Director of Digital Enterprise Group at Intel India and was responsible for research and development of various Xeon® server platform ingredients, including microprocessors developed in India. He led the team that designed the first microprocessor from India – the world’s first 6-core high volume CPU. He was one of the winners of the first Intel Innovators Award in 1995.

Vishakantaiah holds MS and Ph.D degrees in electrical and computer engineering from The University of Texas, Austin. He obtained his bachelor of engineering degree with honors in electronics and communication from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli.

Parag Mehta

Parag Mehta has over 20 years of entrepreneurial and professional experience in the high-tech industry. He has been associated with software, ASIC embedded product engineering services and storage/networking in business development, sales, product marketing, and executive management functions in India and USA.

As Managing Director of QLogic India, Mehta has been instrumental in establishing the R&D center in Pune as well as initiating various sales functions for APAC from the India center. He has been in this role since January 2008, prior to which he led the company’s product marketing team based out of the US headquarters.

Mehta is actively contributing to the ecosystem. He is currently the Vice President of the Software Exporter’s Association of Pune, an Executive Council member of IESA, and a member of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Indian Angle Networks.

Rajesh Ram Mishra has been with Wipro for the past 22 years. Currently, he heads the organizational initiative to set up a collaborative Center for Applied Research and System Design to enable new products and solutions for the emerging market. Prior to this, he was driving the US$ 250 million industry vertical focusing on high-tech customers of semiconductor and peripheral industry at Wipro Technologies.

In his previous role as CTO for the telecom and product engineering division, Mishra was responsible for driving innovation and technology competency building across the organization.

Mishra headed the operations of the 18,000-strong product engineering group and evolved the competency framework that measures as well as helps enhance the skill level of employees.

Mishra has built many large accounts and new industry verticals, namely peripherals, storage, software products, avionics, and industrial automation offering product engineering solutions.

Mishra has completed his B.Tech in electronics and M.Tech in computer engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Dr. Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra

Dr. Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra has been with Texas Instruments since 1986 and is currently the President and Managing Director of Texas Instruments India. In this role, he leads all of TI’s Research and Development, as well as Sales and Marketing activities in India.

Today he is actively involved in working with several hundred OEMs in India who are developing innovative products for India and the emerging markets using semiconductor solutions.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Mitra was the Director of the Americas Wireless Communication Product Development activities at Texas Instruments Incorporated, Dallas. While in Texas Instruments at Dallas, he also led TI's ultra-low power DSP core, which was selected by EDN as the 'Best product of 15 years'.

Dr. Mitra has also been instrumental in driving the culture of innovation at Texas Instruments. With nearly 700 U.S. patents from India to its credit – amongst the highest filed by technology companies in the country - Texas Instruments India today is driving Analog and Embedded Processing innovations for applications from Energy Efficiency to Medical, Surveillance, etc.

Dr. Mitra has been instrumental in playing a pioneering role in creating the India semiconductor ecosystem – with key partnerships with the industry and the academia. Under his leadership, Texas Instruments has established partnerships with over 700 universities in India.

Dr. Mitra leads several activities of the Indian semiconductor industry. He is the Chairman of India Electronics & Semiconductor Association for 2010-11. He is also the President of the VLSI Society of India and an Executive Council Member & Chairman of the Embedded Systems activities at NASSCOM. He was also an Executive Council member of MAIT, and plays an active role in several key semiconductor policies.

The Dallas Morning News, a leading Texas daily, featured Dr. Mitra as a 'Success Story'. He received the ‘Distinguished Alumni Award’ from IIT Kharagpur in 2009. He was also a recipient of the award for being one of the top three R&D visionaries of India.

He worked at Intel for 13 years serving various engineering and executive management positions. Ganesh was responsible for creating a Centre of Excellence for System on Chip (SoC) and Intellectual Property designs from India. Prior to joining Freescale, Ganesh worked for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in the Microprocessor Development Group on the development of X86 processors.

Ganesh has been awarded a patent in his name in the area of Real time Calibration using a PowerPC based SoC for embedded applications. He has also worked at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) working on INSAT projects.

He holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Idaho, USA.

While studying he worked at the Microelectronic Research Labs funded by NASA, developing solutions for different projects including a Reconfigurable Datapath rocessor.

Praveen Vishakantaiah

Praveen Vishakantaiah is currently the Intel India President and responsible for all the Intel activities in India.

Praveen joined Intel, USA in 1993 and held various leadership positions in microprocessor design technology development and in the Pentium® II, Pentium® III and Pentium® 4 microprocessor development teams. He relocated to Intel, India in 2003 to start microprocessor post-silicon validation for Xeon® server platforms. He later became the Director of Digital Enterprise Group at Intel, India and was responsible for research and development of various Xeon® server platform ingredients including microprocessors developed in India. He led the team that designed the first ever microprocessor from India – world’s first 6 core high volume CPU. He was also one of the winners of the first Intel Innovators award in 1995.

Praveen holds MS and Ph.D degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honors in Electronics and Communication from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli, India.

Dr. Pradip K. Dutta is a Corporate Vice President of Synopsys Inc. and the Managing Director of its wholly owned subsidiary, Synopsys (India) Private Limited, a world leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software. After repatriating from the US, Dr. Dutta has been heading the India operations of Synopsys since 2000, overseeing the growth from a little over 50 employees to more than 700 highly skilled employee base spread across Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida. His key focus areas include R & D activity in various aspects of EDA tool development, strengthening industry-academia-government interaction and building strong customer relationships.

Prior to joining Synopsys, Dr. Dutta had started his career with General Motors in the field of automotive electronics and held a variety of positions in engineering and management, both in the US and in the Asia-Pacific region. Some of his most enjoyable projects were working on the first GM electric vehicle, IMPACT, and IC fabrication process transfer program between Hitachi Ltd., Japan and Delco Electronics, Kokomo, Indiana.

Dr. Dutta has earned his B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT Kharagpur followed by MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park under a US government fellowship from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He serves on the Executive Council of several industry bodies including India Semiconductor Association (IESA) and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC - Karnataka). He began his career in electronics system design, and for initial five years worked with Associated Electronics Research Foundation, Noida and developed multiple electronics systems in the domain of mixed analog & DSP for a wide range of applications in the field of telecommunications, Personal Security and Automated Machine Health Monitoring.
In 1991, Sharma joined STMicroelectronics to work in VLSI design and was based in France. He pioneered the Top Down Design Methodology for the Analog/Mixed Analog designs and developed analog macros like Clock Generators (PLL).

He returned to India in 1994, and for next eight years built a team of 200+ engineers to develop design platforms consisting of VLSI building blocks including Digital Libraries, I/O's, Mixed Analog Macros like PLL, Data Converters, Embedded Memories etc. in state-of-the-art technologies, ranging from 0.5 microns to 90nm. In 2002, he was promoted to Director, IP Design Factory, to head the development activities of ST India in the field of VLSI IPs, SoCs, embedded and application software.
