India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA) has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for promoting ESDM industry ecosystem in the state. “Along with IESA, we are confident to create a favourable ecosystem for electronics manufacturing in the state and build Uttar Pradesh for a brighter tomorrow,” said Shri Jiwesh Nandan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Leading mobile phone handset maker Micromax on Friday inked an agreement with Rajasthan government to set up a manufacturing plant in Alwar district. The homegrown device maker will initially invest Rs 500 crore in the second facility in India and manufacture mobile handsets, LED TVs, lights and other electronics products, said a state government release here. Rajesh Agarwal, co-founder, Micromax Informatics, said, “The Karoli manufacturing unit in Alwar district will further enhance our manufacturing operations in the country. With this plant, we will focus on integrating our product design capabilities with efficient manufacturing processes which will help in the economic development of the state.“
