Ashok Soota founded Happiest Minds raises $45 Million in Series A

Bangalore-based Happiest Minds, a (IT) solution and service firm, has raised $45 million in series A investment, led by VC firm Canaan partners. Intel Capital and Ashok Soota also pooled in with money. The funds would be used to deliver most advance technology solution and services, hire talented employees, setting up additional infrastructure and increase sales and marketing efforts globally. Canaan partners and Intel capital, representatives from both companies are expected to join the Happiest Minds board. Happiest Minds aims to be the fastest IT services firm from India to reach $100 million in revenue.

India, ASEAN looking at cooperation in MSME sector

The MEA Secretary has said that India and ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) were looking at cooperation in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, reports media. Sanjay Singh, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, noted that trade between India and ASEAN nations has been growing and expressed the confidence that the target of USD 70 billion to be achieved by 2012 will be met.

Energy storage market to reach $61.9B by 2016

An upbeat energy storage market is expected in the coming years. This is according to a report from Bharat Book Bureau predicting that from $61.9 billion this year, the market will grow to $61.9 billion in 2016 with a CAGR of 9.3 percent.
