Dr. Satish Kumar,

Energy Efficiency Ambassador,
 Schneider Electric India
Dr. Satish Kumar has recently joined Schneider Electric India as the Energy Efficiency Ambassador VP. Prior to this, Dr. Kumar headed the USAID-funded bilateral ECO-III project, the largest building energy-efficiency project in India, where he was a Technical Advisor to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and to Gujarat and Punjab Governments under the project. Before this, he worked as a scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on projects funded by US Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and California Utilities.

Dr. Kumar has provided programmatic and technical leadership in the launch or refinements of national/state level energy-efficiency initiatives in India. He co-founded Efficiency Valuation Organization, Alliance for Energy-Efficient Economy, and IBPSA-India, and serves on these boards. He is an adjunct faculty member at several academic institutes in India. He is a LEED accredited professional (USGBC), certified energy manager (AEE), and a certified M&V professional (AEE).

Dr. Kumar has a PhD in building performance and diagnostics from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor in architecture from IIT Roorkee.
