Mr Alva has an M Tech degree from NIT- K in Industrial
Electronics, worked for 10 years in GE healthcare in Bangalore and
Milwaukee, USA before starting Skanray in 2007 along with 5 of his
colleagues. Skanray today has 2 FDA approved plants and is
considered as the fastest growing Med Tech Company with 500+
Medical technology professionals across 3 manufacturing plants
across the Globe.
Skanray was founded in 2007 Feb with a team of 5 engineers and
started in an incubation center in STEP commercial facility. With
more than 400 Medical technology Professionals. Skanray is today
one of the few companies globally with UL, FDA, CE certifications
and exporting to developed countries like the US and Europe.
Skanray has won the Best Industry award from Rotary Mid west,
Mysore in 2011, awarded by the Dept of Petrochemicals, Govt of
India for Innovation in Engineering plastics for Medical
applications and the TiE Lumis National Entrepreneurship
excellence award in 2012. Skanray is also the recipient of the
Prestigious Red Herring Asia award for technology and
innovation and listed in the Forbes India top 5 start up
company and Frost & Sullivan's Healthcare Entrepreneural
excellence Award in 2014. Skanray has spread its wings to
Europe and Latin America in a short span and positioned to be the
leader in Mass Wellness Devices and solutions and in Critical
Care. Skanray Acquired L & T s medical business in 2012 and Pricol
Medical Systems in 2013 to enter into Critical care, ICU and
respiratory care Business. In 2014, Skanray recently acquired CEI
Italy to enter into the high tech X Ray tubes manufacturing space.
Mr. Alva did his schooling in St Aloysius in Mangalore and his
engineering from AC Tech, Madurai Kamaraj University and then
Masters in Industrial Electronics from NIT-K. His is specialized
in power electronics for industrial and Medical Applications. He
has over 20 years of experience in Product design, R and D and
Business management. He is trained in business management at KIAMS.
Mr. Alva has wide global exposure to the industry having
associated with businesses in more than 14 countries around the
world including the USA, Germany, Japan, Canada, France, Brazil,
Russia, China, Italy, Sweden and Israel.
