Shanthi Pavan obtained the B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engg from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1995 and the M.S and Sc.D degrees from Columbia University, New York in 1997 and 1999 respectively. From 1997 to 2000, he was with Texas Instruments in Warren, New Jersey, where he worked on high speed analog filters and data converters. From 2000 to June 2002, he worked on microwave ICs for data communication at Bigbear Networks in Sunnyvale, California. Since July 2002, he has been with the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, where he is now a Professor of Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in the areas of high speed analog circuit design and signal processing.
Dr.Pavan is the recipient of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Darlington Best Paper Award (2009), the Swarnajayanthi Fellowship (2010, from the Government of India) , the Young Faculty Recognition Award from IIT Madras (2009, for excellence in teaching) , the Technomentor Award from the
India Electronics & Semiconductor Association(2010) and the Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (2006). He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems: Part I - Regular Papers, and serves on the technical program committee of the International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC).
Professor Sadagopan, Director of IIIT-Bangalore, is a product of Madras University, India and Purdue University, USA. He taught for 25+ years at IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore, IIT Madras and IIIT-Bangalore in addition to short teaching assignments at RUTGERS, USA and AIT, Bangkok. He has authored seven books, several book chapters and papers.
He is a Fellow of IEE (UK) and Computer Society of India. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, ACM and AIS. He consults widely and lectures extensively on all aspects of IT. He serves on the boards of Bharat Electronics, Neyveli Lignite Corporation and Indian Renewable Energy Agency as well as several Universities / Institutes - IBAB, ISIM, IIIT Bhubaneshwar and IIIT-Delhi. He serves as a Member of Karnataka Knowledge Commission, Chief Minister's Vision Group on IT, NASSCOM Regional Council, and ACM India Council. He is the Chair of IEEE Computer Society, Bangalore Chapter.
Chetan Maini is the Founder and the Chief of Strategy and Technology at Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles. Motivated by a desire to combat climate change, in 1994 Chetan co-founded the Reva Electric Car Company (REVA), one of the first electric car companies. The company has one of the largest deployed fleets of electric cars in over 24 countries globally.
He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from Stanford University and over 20 years’ experience in the developing electric vehicles.
In 2009 he was named by Business Week Magazine as one of the top 50 most powerful people in India to influence change and at the AIMA Managing India Awards 2010 Chetan was named “Entrepreneur of the Year”. In 2011, Chetan was honoured as a Young Global Leader (YGL), by the World Economic Forum.
Chetan interests are in the technology and environment space and he enjoys the outdoors, biking and scuba diving.
Yegnashankaran oversees National's partnership efforts related to materials technologies and package technology development. He was previously senior vice president of technology research, responsible for technology R&D and new materials technologies. He joined National in 1996 with more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Previously, Yegnashankaran handled product development, test and product engineering and failure analysis at LSI Logic Corporation. He also held a variety of engineering positions at AMD Corporation and Fairchild Semiconductor. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bombay in India.
Mahesh Mehendale leads the TI India Center of Excellence for VLSI Architectures with focus on ultra-low power MSP430 MCUs and HD Digital Video Compression. Mahesh has been with Texas Instruments India since 1986. In 2003, he was elected Fellow in recognition of his technical leadership of multiple digital / SoC (System-on-a-Chip) designs for different TI businesses.
Mahesh has done B. Tech (EE), M.Tech (CS&E) and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has published more than 40 papers, presented many invited talks/tutorials and also participated on panel discussions at international conferences. He was the general co-chair for the VLSI Design 2010 conference. He has co-authored a book on “VLSI synthesis of DSP kernels” published by Kluwer and a chapter on “Introduction to SoC” for a book on System on a Package (SOP) published by McGraw-Hill. Mahesh holds 6 US patents and was elected senior member of IEEE in 2000.
K Subramanya is currently the Chief Executive Officer of India’s largest Solar Company, Tata BP Solar with gross revenues in excess of US$ 200 million (2010-11).
Being an Electronics Engineer with >35 years of diverse experience, was actively involved in conceptualization and birth of Tata BP Solar in 1989.
Under his vision and stewardship, Tata BP Solar is India’s largest solar company today and has chronicled many achievements, some firsts and many distinct, in the Indian solar industry:

SELCO-India, which he co-founded with Neville Williams in 1995. Dr. Hande earned his Doctorate in energy engineering (solar specialty) at the University of Massachusetts (Lowell). He has an undergraduate degree in Energy Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Dr. Hande serves on the boards of many organizations, both national and international.
Arnob has over 18 years of experience in developing products in domains such as Electronic Design Automation, VLSI and Telecom Systems. Prior to Tejas, he has held senior engineering management positions at Synopsys Inc., and Cadence Design Systems.
Arnob Roy holds a Masters’ Degree in Science in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
